Calm, Clear, Clean Water with a sandy bottom…
At the Haulover Sandbar boaters come by the droves … hundreds on a weekend. There is no shortage of music and groups of folks having fun frolicking in the clear water.
The sandbar has a sand shoal that surfaces during low tide. The sand rises up out of the water exposing beautiful clean sand for all to enjoy … as if it were your own island oasis right in the middle of the ocean water. Truth-be-told, the sandbar is not in the ocean, but in the bay; in shallow water by the ocean inlet named Bakers Haulover Inlet.
You will find all different sorts of folks hanging out partying at the sandbar. People come by canoe, jet skis, charter boat, personal boats – but you cannot come by car; nor by foot. The sandbar is situated just west of the Haulover Beach Marina in North Miami Beach. She is a favorite of locals and visitors alike. With a party every weekend and during the summer months – nearly everyday, you are likely to find a great party atmosphere.
There is also a food-boat (like food-truck) that offers your typical burgers, etc. as well as local favorite seafood ceviche salad. The boat has ice cream, popsicles, snacks and burgers. Your food can also be delivered to you in the water or to your boat by the owner’s son paddling on a kayak.
The sandbar is an easy destination to get to and doesn’t require a full-day charter. A stop at the sandbar can easily be incorporated into most of our 4 hour charters. The sandbar can be your only destination or a stop on the way back to the marina.
